Nuoyi Wang is a Ph.D. candidate in the Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis and part of the Department of Media Studies at the University of Amsterdam. Meanwhile, Nuoyi is a junior researcher in the Junior Research Group Digitalization and Social Transformation at the Institute for Advanced Studies Vienna. She is also a member of the international App Studies Initiative (ASI). She holds a Master's degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Communication Studies from Fudan University in China.

Her research interests lie in the political economy and politics of artificial intelligence, digital platforms and apps, with a particular focus on the evolving global dynamics of platform power and Generative AI ecosystems.
