re:publica Vienna
2nd - 3rd October 2026
Brotfabrik Wien
The first re:publica Vienna will bring Europe's most important festival for digital society, politics, technology and culture to Austria from 2 to 3 October 2026.
re:publica Vienna is organised and curated by republica GmbH and the Momentum Institute as the local host.
The aim of re:publica Vienna is to establish a new, permanent flagship event in the German-speaking world – an event for democratic debate and society in the digital age, as well as a unique platform for science, activism, media and politics in Austria. The new event format is not only intended to raise the profile of Vienna as a progressive city of innovation, but also to provide a forum for hundreds of participants from Austria, Germany and CEE.
About re:publica
Since 2007, republica GmbH has been organising re:publica Berlin, the festival for the digital society. re:publica is the largest conference of its kind in Europe and has been a platform for debate and exchange on the increasing pace of digitalisation, its impact on the transformation of society, the economy, art and culture, and the shift in political dynamics for almost 20 years. The programme includes lectures, discussions, workshops, performances and much more. The participants at re:publica represent a cross-section of our (digital) society. At re:publica, bloggers meet politicians, scientists meet entrepreneurs, artists meet activists. re:publica Berlin attracted over 30,000 visitors over the three days of the event in 2025. From 18 to 20 May 2026, re:publica will take place in Berlin for the 19th time under the motto ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’. Further information and tickets are available at: re-publica.com
About the Momentum Institute & MOMENT.at
The Momentum Institute is a think tank for the people. Since 2019, the Momentum team has been developing and disseminating concrete, constructive proposals for a sustainable and fairer society on economic policy issues. MOMENT.at magazine practices journalism with attitude. Independent, innovative, and above all, understandable. It highlights perspectives that are otherwise neglected and talks with people, not about them. What we have in common is: our benchmark is the social and economic interests of the many.
